No offence to all the people from Moldova, but we have to say it is one of Europe’s most easily forgotten countries. With only 150,000 annual visitors, its permanent residents ranked as the least happy on Earth!
The country has spent zero money on building tourism, and those who visit feel more like they have stepped into a time capsule rather than a vacation hot spot. As a result, even though Moldova has some of the most extensive wine cellars in the world, you won’t be able to enjoy suitable wine tours to appreciate the country’s raw talent.
Liechtenstein
This landlocked microstate between Austria and Switzerland is the wealthiest country in the world per capita and is known as a European Tax Haven! But if you aren’t interested in setting up your business in Liechtenstein, there isn’t much else for you to do there.
While the country is beautiful with all the classic charms one expects from a vacation spot, tourism is an afterthought for the government. Of course, you can visit a castle or two but expect to be bored apart from that.
