6 Being among the Top 10 Gun Marksmanship
No guns. Since Batman #15, which was published in 1943, Batman has been following this rule. Ironically, the cover shows Batman using a trench gun loaded with lethal bullets. But, Batman is a good guy, and I don’t mind him having a trench gun. Since then, he has maintained that guns are only for the weak and cowardly.
It’s a little awkward that his ex-partner and adopted son Jason Todd uses them, but I won’t judge. He apparently uses them enough to break the top ten world lists. The Batman Who Laughs #3 was published in 2019. It claims that Batman is among the top 10 world marksmen.
5 Bat-Milk and Cookies
Although it’s a cheat, it does not actually occur in the comics. However, I found it so funny that I couldn’t resist the opportunity to discuss it. In 1972, The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries was created. The second episode featured a team-up between Robin and Batman. The episode “The Dynamic Scooby Affair” features Batman and his gang attempting to take the Batcave to their rescue. However, they are blindfolded so that they can’t find the cave.
Shaggy asks Batman to have a snack while they wait for Batman to arrive at the Batcave. Batman tells Shaggy not to be worried, he will have “Bat milk and cookies” for everyone. It’s not clear if this was just Batman adding “Bat” to every noun (and sometimes verb), or if it was actually bat milk. It’s not clear if this was a classic Batman case of Batman putting “Bat” in front of every noun (and sometimes verb) or if it was actual milk from bats.
