6 Superman I & II: Superman’s Cape
While there have been many actors who have worn the Superman cape throughout the years, Christopher Reeve will always be the one to remember. Many consider Reeve the “original” Man of Steel.
The cape that the actor wore in the Superman movies sold for a remarkable price in 2019 when it was up for auction. Sony stars such as Henry Cavill can only dream that their costumes will fetch $193,750 in a few years. But, let’s be honest, it’s very unlikely.
5 Star Wars: Luke’s Lightsaber
Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber was the defining emblem for Mark Hamill’s Star Wars franchise. This rare piece of film memorabilia went on to sell for record-breaking prices at an auction.
Mark Hamill’s prop (sadly to say that the light saber wasn’t truly magical in reality) in the movie sold for nearly 300,000 at the 2018 auction. His other lightsaber (which he used in Star Wars A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back) had sold for almost $500,000 at auction to Ripley, an Orlando-based company, the year before.
