Orange County Choppers enjoyed a lot of success due to its reality show. Everyone wanted to see the motorcycle shop. Paul Sr. left to expand as business was growing and large corporate contracts were being signed.
The business began to decline as soon as the cameras stopped filming crew members. Paul Sr. realized that he was making sacrifices and had less money coming in. After it was revealed that Orange County Choppers was being sold, rumors began to circulate that the shop was closing. OCC was not the one who was in trouble, it was the property owner.

Paul Sr. doesn’t look like someone people would want to have around. Paul Sr. was an outspoken and vocal cast member of “American Chopper.” Some unhappy investors claim that he wanted to enter the restaurant business in 2011. He was at the height of his reality TV fame. But Paul Sr. was then accused of running a Ponzi Scheme.
Ponzi schemes are where investors in companies make money from business profits. But, the money actually comes from other investors. This creates a vicious circle where investors get paid with the money of other investors, even though profits might not be coming from the business. Paul Sr. could be in serious trouble for making this allegation.
