Top 10 ‘American Chopper’ Behind-The-Scenes Facts

8 Rebooting the Show

It seemed that “American Chopper” fans couldn’t live without Orange County Choppers in the lives of their loved ones. It seemed that we might never see Paul Teutul Senior again on TV after the reality show ended in 2010. The reboot of the show was a huge success with fans. It was a rebroadcast on The Discovery Channel, the original network.

TLC took over the series in 2008. The series was almost doomed, but “American Chopper” returned with a bang! Paul Sr. and Paul Jr. returned to try and work out their differences and tensions from the past. The reboot proved to be therapeutic for the family, bringing them closer together.

7 Their Falling Out

Paul Sr. and Paul Jr. were both heartbreaking. Things seemed to be working out for the youngest member of the pair. He had a difficult relationship with his father but it inspired him to start his own business. He tried to persuade his father to sell his 20-percent share of Orange County Choppers but it didn’t work.

Paul Jr. believes that leaving his father’s shadow is a good thing. He was able to create his own company and his own image, finally stepping out on his own. Paul Jr. was required to take one year off his contract. However, in 2010, after reality television had left him, he returned to his business.
