This Couple Is Shocked To Find Their Son’s Grave Green Like It Was Spring, But The Whole Of Texas Was Suffering From Drought
Losing Your Soulmate
Suffering the loss of a loved one is always the hardest and most painful thing that we have to go through as humans. But it hurts even more when that person is your soulmate. And in the same town, somebody else mourns the loss of his wife who died due to old age.
It was back in 2014 that Jake Reissig lost his wife of 65 years. He never quite understood why but he also knew that it was going to happen in some way or another. His wife, Betty, had been his world to the point where he describes their marriage to be such a “fairytale.”
His Daily Routine
Because Betty had already been a part of most of Jake’s life and so, it is without saying that he was having a hard time adjusting to life without her. And just like any married couple, Jake went through a stage of indenial wherein he just didn’t want to let her go.
So, despite his old age, Jake made efforts to visit his wife’s grave every single day without fail. He went to church in the mornings to pray and hear mass on the weekends, and then met one of his children for coffee before heading back home to work in his garden and then pick roses from there and leave for the cemetery in the afternoons.
