Brown ’31 Woody From 1969 – $8,000
Including prototypes, it is estimated by collectors that less than 12 ’31 Woodys painted brown exist in the world. And if you think you might have the 13 car, consider yourself very very lucky.
But before you go running around to eBay, hoping to sell your Hot Wheels, make sure the paint colour matches the original warm brown and isn’t a burnt orange – the orange ones are worth nothing and are often misidentified.
Python Body With Cheetah Base From 1969 – $6,000
The name of this Hot Wheels is a bit of a conundrum, it was being designed and created as the Hot Wheels Python but was renamed the Hot Wheels Cheetah. The car was inspired by Kustom Kulture engineer Bill Cushenbery’s Dream Rod and was renamed before being sent to market.
Meaning that anyone who had the original Hot Wheels with the Cheetah base nameplate was holding coveted collector items. And with the years, they have only become harder to find. The starting price of one of these is $6,000!
