Justin Jacob Long was born in Connecticut on the 2nd of June 1978.
Long is the son of R. James Long who is a professor of Latin and philosophy. His mother, Wendy Lesniak (an actress who appeared on stage as a child), is his father. His paternal grandmother was Italian.
Long’s older brother, a teacher, and actor on the local stage is Long. Long attended Fairfield College Preparatory School (a Jesuit school) and Vassar College. He was a member of the sketch comedy group Laughingstock, and starred in many plays, including Butterflies are Free.
