Paul Terry, an animator who owned Terrytoons animation Studio, created Heckle & Jeckle. The show’s first episode featured two magpies, who were not the friends they became later in the series.

H.R. Pufnstuf, a children’s TV series produced by the Kroffts. It was the Kroffts’ second puppet show. The broadcasts of the show were so profitable that NBC continued to air its reruns every Saturday morning for several years.
