Game of Thrones ranks among the top TV shows when it comes to high-end programming. AT&T’s Warner Bros. series aired on HBO for eight seasons before anyone got to sit down on the Iron Throne.
It’s no surprise that the series cost $15 million per episode. The network had to pay for state-of-the-art CGI and epic battle scenes. For the recognition that the cast and crew received, the financial strain was well worth it. Game of Thrones has won numerous awards. It is the true Khaleesi of television.
