Low-fat milk
Most of us would think low-fat milk is the healthier choice but as it turns out, high-fat milk is better for diabetics. Although low-fat milk has less fat, it has higher sugar content. Nicole Anziani, a registered dietitian says that low-fat milk can give you a blood sugar spike.
A 2014 study made in Sweden found that high-fat dairy lowers the risk of diabetes and can help people with pre-diabetes. Other studies found that high-fat milk has a “neutral” effect on diabetes development and found low-fat milk as not healthy for diabetics.
