Extreme weather conditions
Texas faced horrible storms that brought in a lot of fierce winds, thunder, hail, and rain in the area. After all, the state is known for its extreme weather conditions, with hurricanes and tornadoes passing by occasionally.

The Office of the Texas State Climatologist College of Geoscience shared that 10 to 15 inches of rain in less than 12 hours caused a big flood in the west Houston area on April 17, 2016. The devastating flooding was known as the “Tax Day Flood.”
In the middle of the storm
Randy’s property happened to be exactly in the middle of the flooded area during the Tax Day Flood. This meant that if a storm comes their way, he knew that his home was most likely to be swept away and would be included in the billions worth of property damages.

So in June 2016, when another storm was about to hit the state just a few months after the Tax Day Flood, Randy jumped into action. And because Randy was smart and prepared for what was coming, his property was miraculously saved from the horrible flood.
