Vikings carved their teeth
Vikings may be conscious about their personal hygiene but we do not know if we can say the same for their dental hygiene. Back in 2009, archaeologists discovered Viking skulls that had teeth with meticulous carvings on them.

The archaeologists who discovered them still had to confirm how the Vikings managed to carve and file their teeth in their time. But they have concluded that these markings were a symbol for warriors and that they were done to scare off enemies.
Vikings were great sailors because of the sun
The Vikings were professional sailors and it is known that there were no waters that they could not pass through. And they were always able to reach their destination on time because of their ability to observe the sun.

The Vikings had sunstones which they used to find the sun and stay in the right direction. These sunstones are now known as “Icelandic spar” and these stones have a reaction when they are held up to the sun. This sailing tactic is known as the “Haidinger’s Brush.”
