First Meeting

As we already mentioned, Montez and Mally met in Afghanistan. Nick didn’t have any dogs growing up, so when he was assigned to the Marine Corps Dog-Handler Program, the young man didn’t know what to expect.

It turned out that he was a natural and completed the program with flying colors. His first job had him paired with Mally, who had gone through his training to learn how to sniff out bombs.
