When her mind started to deteriorate, her family dumped her in a nursing home and forgot about her. She felt abandoned but she was pleased to find that one of her grandsons was still actively checking up on her.
She appreciated her grandson for not forgetting her. But as it turned out, her grandson had been visiting her for another reason. When she found out his true motives, she made sure to teach the boy a lesson – one that came from beyond her grave.
A happy family before dementia
Mildred used to have good ties with her family. She had two sons – Mike and David. They both have made their own families as well. At least two or three of her family members would show up every weekend to visit her and they would share a great meal together.
But now that her dementia was getting worse, she felt like she was a nuisance and a burden to her family. So, when they decided to move her to a nursing home so that she could get the care and medication she needs right away, she did not make any objections.
